WESTERN JET AVIATION ACADEMY

Join our team and develop your career in Aviation

At Western Jet Aviation we invest in our people.  So much so that we have created the Western Jet Aviation Academy (WJAA) to serve as a resource for our Aviation professionals to either begin or further their career as an MRO Technician.  The Academy has several “tracks” of learning depending on where you are in your MRO Technician journey.  We start with the Technician Track.  This track is for the technician who is about to get or recently just received their A&P License.

Other tracks will put you on the path to grow into a Leadership position, if that is your goal, or a senior technician. No matter which track you are in, you will learn how to perform tip-to-tail maintenance on Gulfstream® type aircraft under the guidance of our Master Trainer and a Lead Technician.  This three-month structured program includes in classroom instruction and on-the-job training / hands on training. Throughout the program you will be exposed to all sorts of maintenance skills. Everything from the very basic skills to complicated double engine changes.

At Western Jet Aviation, we take your career to new “heights.” We believe in developing our people and creating opportunities for career growth.

TECHNICIAN TRACK

This track is for people just starting out in their career as Aircraft Mechanics.  If you come from the Automotive Industry or recently graduated from A&P School, this program is for you.  During the three-month program, each WJAA student will be assigned to a Technician team and will work under supervision of the team Lead while also having classroom sessions designed to teach you about certain components of a modern business jet.  Classroom sessions are comprised of lecture style sessions and on the floor practical demonstrations.

A&P Technician Two

If you have some experience as an A&P Licensed Technician and have two to three years of experience in the Aviation Industry, this track is for you.  Our A&P Technician Two Track is designed to help individuals grow and acquire the necessary skills to graduate from Level One to Level Two.

A&P Technician Three/Leadership

If you have been in the Aviation Industry working as an A&P Licensed Technician for three years or more and are looking to grow into an Assistant Lead or Lead, this track is for you.
